ASD Market Week opened today to thousands of retail buyers, exhibitors, and media with a festive Opening Ceremony in the SourceDirect at ASD show-within-a-show in North Hall.

Free educational Sourcing Seminars took place all day, including the popular, “Buyer’s Intro Guide to SourceDirect – making it easier than ever for our attendees to find the perfect suppliers.

- Amazon 101 – An Introduction to Selling on Amazon, with Kat Simpson, Internet Merchants Association
Amazon expert Kat Simpson taught us about the power of combining FBA (Fulfilled By Amazon) and Amazon Prime (and their 54 million). Kat says, “for the e-commerce seller, there is no easier way to scale up your business.”
- Blue Sky at ASD: E-Commerce Q&A, with Katharyne Shelton and Issac Gonzalez (read their expert articles, “Shopify and Amazon Get Married” and “Product Bundling is an Art Form.”).
As part of a series of ASD talks this week, Katharyne and Issac spoke about which products you should be selling online and on Amazon, effective product bundling, and how to build your brand online. “It’s important to own a very specific niche to be successful,” said Shelton.

Tonight we play host to ASD attendees and exhibitors at the first networking event of the week. Doors will open at 10PM.
