You’ll want to use the Show Planner provided to help you manage your show experience. This tool allows you to identify vendor matches based on product categories, contact exhibitors for show appointments, as well as review and schedule educational seminars. The ASD Show Planner is a one-stop destination for your planning. It also allows you to export appointments to your own desktop calendar, making your show planning process even more efficient.
During show time you’ll also want to schedule your days according to the show floor layout, paying special attention to category locations. Since ASD Market Week is a comprehensive show, which essentially hosts nine shows in one, it is important to plan ahead. One of the best practices you can do is separate your exhibitor visits according to their floor location within each show category. You want to learn. It’s important to allocate time for the educational seminars you want to attend in advance so you are not overlapping with necessary exhibitor time. ASD Market Week supports show attendees with free retailer educational sessions that take place directly on the show floors, located between the South and Central Halls, all four days of the show. BONUS TIP: COME READY TO DO BUSINESS
ASD is known for being a serious order-writing show, and the early bird gets the worm. Many vendors sell out of stock on the first day, so you will want to prepare a one-page overview for exhibitors you are writing orders with. The information you should incorporate includes your store contact information, your credit card billing information, federal (for shipping over borders or non-US distributors) and state tax ID, ship-to addresses, credit references for terms, and/or credit card information as well as store photos. Also remember to have plenty of business cards on hand.
